Medical disorders of pregnancy are described in the third section. New additions include antiphospholipid antibody syndrome in pregnancy, mental health diseases, skin disorders, and gynecological cancers in pregnancy.
The fourth section includes pregnancy outcomes after assisted reproductive technique, pregnancy at extremes of ages, immunization, and nutrition in pregnancy.
The last section covers special situations related to pregnancy, including the management of surgical emergencies during the antenatal period. A novel chapter includes pregnancy outcomes after organ transplant.
Most of the chapters have incorporated recent guidelines and recommendations from FOGSI/WHO/FIGO. Relevant figures, flowcharts, tables, and clinical algorithms have been included to aid readers' understanding.
