It begins with a discussion of the nature of mind, which is very unconventional, but in the opinion of the editors a very crucial component. Book further progresses on to discuss the concepts of mental health and mental disorders, classification and clinical evaluation, communication skills, and further goes on to discuss the established psychiatric syndromes. At the end, it touches upon community psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, cultural psychiatry and the history and future of psychiatry.
