National Medical Council, India has recently revamped medical education as competency-based medical education (CBME). The CBME guidelines were taken into consideration when structuring this version. The book covers a wide range of orthopaedic conditions essential for undergraduate orthopaedic training, including everything from fundamental anatomy and physiology to the current surgical methods. It is intended to provide a thorough reference for medical students, residents and practicing orthopaedic surgeons. Each topic is covered briefly and clearly in the book, and to aid comprehension, there are also clinical photos, figures, radiographs and flowcharts. Adding crucial ideas in ‘note’ and ‘important’ boxes would enable students to enhance the knowledge required for postgraduate exams.
