This book covers many important aspects of management, which are not included commonly in articles on postpartum hemorrhage (PPH). My two Co-editors, Dr Preeti Nitsure-Deshpande and Dr Madhuri Mehendale have worked tirelessly to edit this book. All my authors who are experts in their own fields, have done an excellent job by contributing high-quality articles. I hope this book is helpful to all the practicing obstetricians because PPH is the most common cause of direct maternal mortality. More than 12,000 women die every year of PPH. We must take every effort to prevent, detect early and treat PPH to save lives of millions of women globally.
