The field of intensive care is very dynamic and new evidence emerges almost on a daily basis. Keeping pace with all the new information, analysing and assimilating it and implementing the gist of a this is the key to the practice of evidence based medicine. The Hyderabad Intensive Care Symposium has been in the forefront of bringing such information into the midst of keen learners of intensive care every year. But the time constraints of a didactic meeting make it impossible to convey every advance and guideline.
